I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler University. My background, education and work experience include addiction, trauma, mental health, family systems, attachment theory, human development and spirituality. I have extensive training in various clinical modalities but mostly take a humanistic, client-centred, strengths-based, systemic and compassionate approach to all problems. I see every client and their concerns as unique, worthy and valid thus listen deeply for their strengths, resources and inner wisdom.
My passion can be summed up with the intersection of psychology and spirituality. I am fascinated with the depth of human experience and am continually in awe of the capacity that human beings have for resilience, growth and healing despite great adversity. I have not only experienced it personally but have seen thousands of others access their own innate healing powers to overcome incredible suffering and truly thrive. Thus I have a deep reverence for the courage it takes to ask for help and prioritize safety in counselling
Awareness, acceptance, compassion, safety and choice are essential components in the counselling process. I want to help clients find their own path, their own light, their own way, their own truth. This way they can live with more peace, freedom and joy. To be more genuine, to live with purpose, and to become more fully human.
My goal as a therapist has always been to help people heal. To be a witness to the pain, heartache or frustration and hope for the healing. To be a guide along the path, a shoulder to cry on and a cheerleader to celebrate successes with. To see the unseen, hear the unheard and bear witness to the unbearable. This is what I offer clients.
