About Me

I’m passionate about working with people and creating a safe, warm, and genuine space where we can slow down, get curious, and make sense of what has been happening inside you and in your relationships. I believe that many of the patterns we struggle with make sense when we understand where they came from. Together, we can begin to understand these patterns in new ways and explore what might help you feel more congruent, connected, and alive.

It is a privilege to sit with individuals, families, and couples and to be invited into the sacred work they are doing. I believe we are often able to heal and grow more readily when we don’t have to do it alone. Within a safe therapeutic relationship, we can begin to try something different: noticing what is happening in our emotions and bodies, understanding the ways we have learned to protect ourselves, and discovering new possibilities for how we want to live and relate to ourselves and others.

And hooray to you for even considering therapy! Reaching out can feel vulnerable, intimidating, or risky, and taking that first step is meaningful in itself. You don’t have to know exactly what you need or have the right words to describe what is going on. Part of my role is to help us figure that out together.

Who I Work With

I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. I offer individual therapy, parent support, play therapy, sand tray therapy, and couple and family therapy.

I’m especially drawn to working with people who are navigating relational difficulties, trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, overwhelming emotions, life transitions, family challenges, or patterns that leave them feeling stuck. With children and teens, I support concerns such as anxiety, big emotions, emotional regulation, grief and loss, family changes, self-esteem, behavioural challenges, and difficulties at school or in relationships.

If you’re not sure whether therapy with me or what kind of therapy would be the right fit, you are welcome to reach out! We can use a free 20-minute consultation to talk about what is bringing you in and consider together what kind of support might be most helpful.

How I Work

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, emotionally focused, embodied, and systemic. I pay attention not only to what is happening within an individual, but also to the relationships, families, and larger systems that shape us. I’m interested in the patterns that develop between people and within ourselves, and in understanding how those patterns may have once helped us cope, protect ourselves, or stay connected, even if they are creating difficulties now.

I believe that healing is not only about gaining insight or understanding things intellectually. Our emotions and bodies have important information for us, and I often invite clients to slow down enough to notice and explore what is happening beneath the surface. Sometimes we need more than words to understand what is happening within us. By becoming more curious about our emotional and bodily experiences, we can begin to understand ourselves in new ways and reconnect with the wisdom that is already within us.

My work is primarily informed by Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), alongside other experiential and emotion-focused approaches. With children, I draw from Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT) and Neufeld’s developmental theory. I also offer sand tray therapy with children and adults, using symbolism, imagination, and nonverbal expression to explore and process experiences that can sometimes be difficult to put into words.

Across these different approaches, the common thread is the same: I want to understand you as a whole person, collaborate with you about what you need, and help create the conditions where meaningful change and healing can happen.
