Dani MacKenzie is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Vancouver, BC. She is part of the team at RePose and works as a holistic nutritional counsellor and teacher. Dani believes just as strongly in the power of the mind-body connection as she does in the foundational belief of food as medicine.
As the environment of the modern world is vastly different than it has ever been, Dani believes our approach to health must reflect the impact these changes are having on our physical bodies and mental well-being. At that point, we can better understand the struggle of our health, within this context, and what is needed to move forward on the path toward recovery and healing.
Learning to recognize diet trends that continue to keep us stuck in certain patterns of thinking is sometimes a big part of the learning process and of letting go the old and bringing in the new. Our bodies are designed to heal and exist in a state of harmony and equilibrium. The work Dani does with clients looks at the factors that are disruptive to this natural state as well as the critical elements required for restoration and an inspired sense of well being.
Dani also believes that our bodies are designed with a dynamic and symbiotic relationship with foods and the soil they’re grown in. Foods that not just nourish our body and minds but are also capable of redirecting disease processes toward healing and then toward maintaining a daily sense of energy and vitality.
